HERE'S THE DEAL.

ometriosis is not confined to the reproductive system; it's a widespread condition affecting your entire body. While having a hysterectomy or removing both ovaries can provide relief if o predominantly impacts your pelvic area and lead to the cessation of menstruation, there's currently no definitive cure for this condition.

My life has undergone substantial transformation since undergoing a radical hysterectomy, experiencing significant reduction in pn levels. However, it's crucial to understand that while I no longer experience periods due to surgical menopause, I still live with ometriosis. This lment found its presence not only within my uterus, ovaries and cervix but also on my bowel, spine and pelvis.

The full procedure of a radical hysterectomy was the right decision for me considering my Adenomyosis and elevated cancer risks. Yet, I often hear that post-surgical discussions aren't always comprehensive. It's imperative to gn insight into what life with ometriosis looks like alongside surgical menopause before making informed decisions about surgery, as well as about the necessary treatment and medications for managing this condition going forward.
