The journey that led her to this path began in 2010 when her mother was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune disorders that left her disabled. As she embarked on her academic journey at Brown University, Emma conducted interviews with over 100 women with disabilities across various ages and medical backgrounds. Their narratives echoed the lack of consideration in fashion industry designs when it came to including people living with disabilities. This revelation underscored that there was a vast unmet need in the market.

Conceiving an innovative solution, Intimately.co was born - an online marketplace dedicated to offering adaptive apparel for all women. The brand focuses on creating fashionable and functional undergarments such as side opening underwear suitable for wheelchr users, period-absorbing underwear for hassle-free menstruation management, and bras designed with easy fasteners that cater specifically to limited mobility or breast cancer survivors.

The lingerie industry traditionally overlooks the needs of disabled individuals, often catering only to certn types of disabilities.
